Gas prices expected to rise, IN’s smaller cities ranked best places to start business

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – AAA says they expect gas prices to rise as summer approaches, and Indiana’s smaller cities are among some of the best place to start a business.

AAA said gas prices will continue to rise, but they are expected to stay cheaper than they were a year ago.

They said even though prices are up nearly 15 cents from a month ago, drivers are saving 30 cents year over year.

The auto club estimated that prices will go up 10 to 15 cents by memorial day.

In Indianapolis, the current average is $2.03 for regular unleaded.

In other business news, financial website Wallethub ranked east Chicago 14th in the top 20 of its list of the best small cities to start a business.

They said they analyzed factors including business environment and access to resources and business costs.

Muncie, Lafayette, Westfield and Columbus were also in the top 50 of its list of the best small cities to start a business.
