IMPD searching for April 11 murder suspect

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – IMPD have identified the suspect in a murder from April 11.

The suspect, 30-year-old Zechariah James, Indianapolis, is said to have shot and killed 34-year-old Antoan Johnson.

According to the release, detectives were granted an arrest warrant and are still searching for James.

The warrant charges the suspect with murder and unlawful possession of a firearm by serious violent felon, according to police.

Last week, officers were called to the 3800 block of Pleasant Run Parkway North Drive around 4:30 a.m.

Antoan Johnson, 34, of Indianapolis was found shot next to a vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect is described as 5 feet, 11 inches tall, black male, who weighs approximately 200 pounds.

He has black hair and brown eyes.

Police say he is armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
