Nordstrom cutting hundreds of jobs

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Nordstrom is cutting up to 400 jobs by July.

The company said it’s trying to cut $60 million in costs after reported weak summer sales. The company said sales fell by nearly 32 percent in 2015, but this year sales bounced back up by 15 percent.

The retail giant said cuts will mainly affect employees who work at the Seattle headquarters and other regional offices. They said few sales floor jobs will be affected.

Nordstrom said it’s trying to increase online sales.CNN contributed to this report.
