19-year-old arrested for possession of child pornography

BATESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) – A 19-year-old male was arrested after police found child pornography on his laptop Monday.

According to the release, Columbus police arrested Joseph Freyer after they got a tip that there were illicit images stored on his computer.

Officers arrived at his apartment on the 2300 block of Poshard Drive Monday night.

While officers were obtaining a search warrant, Freyer came back to his apartment and was taken into custody.

Freyer faces preliminary charges of possession of child pornography/child exploitation.

He was transported to the Bartholomew County Jail. The case is still under investigation.
