Fishers announces summer concert line-up
FISHERS, Ind. (WISH) – Fishers is raising the bar on free summer concerts at the Nickel Plate District with its 2016 lineup.
The summer concert line-up offers a diverse mix of artists for fans of all ages, and it’s free.
“We are proud to offer such a high quality, free concert line-up in the heart of downtown Fishers,” said Tony Elliot, Parks & Recreation Department Director. “This has been a tradition in the community for more than 13 years, but 2016 is sure to be the best, most diverse year yet.”
A few highlights from the summer concert line-up include:
- Jamestown Revival

- Dogs of Society: A tribute to the music of Elton John

Date: August 19
Time: 9:00 p.m.
Fans and visitors are encouraged to download the Nickel Plate District App for detailed information on times, musical acts and special promotions from local businesses.
“The Nickel Plate District really comes to life during the summer months, and visitors are in for a real treat this year,” said Mayor Scott Fadness. “Not only are there free music options for people of all walks of life, but the amenities in downtown offer unique places to gather, eat and shop. I encourage visitors to explore the Nickel Plate District by foot or bicycle this summer and enjoy.”

Visitors are allowed to bring their own food and drink to most shows. An on-site food truck and beer vendors is also available.
