West Lafayette Police searching for armed robbery suspect

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WISH) – The West Lafayette Police Department is searching for a suspect after an armed robbery near campus.
Police say the suspect was armed with a knife when he tried to rob a person.
The victim was cut during the incident. The suspect was described as a white male with a full beard. He was wearing a salty dog shirt and khaki shorts, according to police.
The robbery occurred around 2:30 a.m. near West Wood Street and Pierce Street.
