Lafayette Police: Armed robbery at Check ‘N Go

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – An armed robbery was reported at the Check ‘N Go on State Road 38 near the Tippecanoe Mall around 11 a.m. Friday.

According to Lafayette Police Lt. Brian Phillips, a man walked into the Check ‘N Go, displayed a firearm and took an undisclosed amount of money.

Police said the man exited the store and ran eastbound.

Purdue’s K-9 unit is helping with the active search.

One employee was working at the time of the robbery. No injuries were reported.

Police are currently obtaining surveillance video.
