Police seek help locating attempted strong-armed robbery suspects

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating attempted strong-armed robbery suspects.

According to IMPD, the attempted robbery occurred near the Philips 66 gas station in the 4000 block of North High School Road.

Police said a black male in a white thermal shirt, black athletic pants and white Nike shoes, approached the victim near the gas station and asked for $50.  The suspect reportedly claimed the victim owed the suspect money for being on his block.

The victim stated he did not have the money in his possession. It was then that suspect struck the victim a number of times with a closed fist.

A second black male in all black clothing, with dreads and glasses was also with the suspect at the time of the attempted robbery.

The two men then fled the scene after the attempted robbery in a black Chevy Impala with a another black male in the driver’s seat.

Police said the two men did not take anything from the victim.
