Lawrence police are asking for help identifying robbery suspect

LAWRENCE, Ind. (WISH) – Lawrence police are seeking assistance in identifying a robbery suspect.

Police said the suspect robbed the Dollar General store located at 8050 Pendelton Pike on Saturday, April 23.

According to police, the manager said he closed the store with a co-worker and while leaving the business, the male suspect approached them while armed with a gun. He said the suspect directed them back into the store and demanded money. Police said after the suspect received the cash, he walked away from the store to the west.

Police said they were not able to find the suspect.

The suspect is described as a male wearing a black sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head, and an orange safety vest over the sweatshirt and blue jeans.
