Four sentenced for 2014 home invasion, assault

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Four people have been sentenced for their involvement in a 2014 home invasion and assault.

The south side assault and home invasion occurred on South Lasalle Street in February 2014.

Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry announced that Royce Edwards, Michael Parrish, Anthony Breeden and Krystal Cook have been sentenced to prison.

For his part, Parrish received 60 years in jail for several counts that includes burglary, robbery, criminal confinement, battery and criminal deviate conduct. Parrish’s sentence comes in addition to a 100-year sentence he is currently serve for a conviction out of Hendricks County.  His new 60-year sentence will be served concurrently with his previous sentence.

Over the course of the investigation, Parrish was found to be the individual who assaulted the female during the burglary.

In addition to Parrish’s sentence,  Breeden,  Cook and Edwards all pleaded guilty to burglary.  Breeden received 12 years, Cook was given eight years and Edwards was handed a three-year prison sentence.

Parrish also faces additional charges for kidnapping, rape and robbery in connection to the February 2014 incident.  A pre-trial conference for those charges is scheduled for June.
