TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) – Charges have been filed against a Gary man accused of auto theft and carrying a handgun as a convicted felon.

A license plate check revealed the car Dennie was traveling in was reported stolen out of Indianapolis through the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

The widow of Dennie’s deceased brother reported the car stolen in May 2015, a month prior. Dennie claimed he was going to put the car in his name, but he never got a driver’s license.
