Hoosiers honor, remember those who died while at work
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – People from across Indiana gathered at the Statehouse to honor and remember people who died while at work.
The Works Memorial Day is celebrated each year on April 28.
The president of the state’s AFL-CIO said people in Indiana have to continue to fight for safe working conditions, so future on-the-job injuries and deaths can be prevented.
171 Hoosiers lost their lives while at work last year.
