Grant Co. crash injures three

GRANT COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – Three people were injured a two-vehicle accident in Grant County.

According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Department, the accident happened around 3:30 p.m. Thursday near State Road 15 and Harreld Road.

Police said that a 2001 Volkswagen Beetle, driven by Pamela Miller, was headed south when it crossed the center line in an attempt to pass traffic.

It was then that the Volkswagen slammed into a 2001 Cadillac Deville driven by Lisa Caley, head-on.

Both Miller and Caley were transported to a Fort Wayne Hospital via helicopter. Both are believed to have suffered internal injuries.

Also injured in the crash was Megan Cavin’s a passenger in the Cadillac.  She was taken to Marion General Hospital with what is described as non-life threatening injuries.

An investigation into the crash continues.
