New event on Georgia St. will officially drop green flag race week
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indianapolis civic leaders announced Friday a new event on Georgia Street will add-on to the excitement in May.
“Rock-IN-Roar 500” will be a free music festival and community celebration to officially drop the green flag on race week.
The event will be on the west block of Georgia Street on Friday, May 20 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Local and national musical acts will perform throughout the night.
City leaders also announced “Spectacle,” a free Indy-500 themed light and sound show on Georgia Street. It will start May 20.
