Newest Colt introduced

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Colts top draft pick, Ryan Kelly, impressed the team and the media Friday afternoon, as he was introduced as the new center.

Kelly said playing in a pro-style offense at Alabama gave him a head start in the NFL.

“Hopefully, my learning curve will be easier,” said Kelly, the 6-4, 315 pounder chosen by the Colts with the 18th pick. “Every team is different, but I played with three very unique quarterbacks, so that should help.”

As for his new QB?

“I haven’t met Andrew Luck yet, haven’t talked to him, but looking forward to it. The relationship between a center and a QB is crucial. We bring all eleven guys together on offense. It’s about building a trust relationship. I’m exited about the challenge,” Kelly said.

Kelly will wear Tarik Glenn’s number 78, the number he also wore in college at Alabama.
