Madison Co. Government Center receives bomb threat
MADISON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – On Monday, the Madison County Government Center received a phoned-in bomb threat.
According to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, threat came in around 12:45 p.m from a male caller stating “there is a bomb on the property”.
In addition to deputies from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, the Anderson Police and Fire Departments responded to the scene.
Officials and K-9s searched in and around the premises for nearly two hours, but did not find any indications of explosive material.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office said that as of 2:50 Monday afternoon they are investigating a “person of interest.”
