IMPD searching for suspect wanted for burglary

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department needs the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted for burglary.

Police said on Jan. 6, a white male busted the window to Bolton’s Tobacco located in the 2000 block of West Morris Street.

The suspect attempted to steal a Colt’s jerseys, but they were chained to a metal rack. Police said the suspect then jumped over a counter and stole cartons of cigarettes. The suspect then left the store through the window he came in. He ran south to a light colored SUV, possible a Buick Rendezvous.
