Riggs: We need the community’s help to keep kids safe
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Troy Riggs stopped by Daybreak on Wednesday to talk about a new national forum.
The forum discusses crime and children, and how to create safer neighborhoods for kids.
He will be a part of the forum discussion later Wednesday afternoon.
But he answered a few questions about the forum and other public safety measures in Indianapolis:
- We have seen teenagers murdered and accused of murder – how do you keep kids away from crime?
- Last month, the Indianapolis City County Council approved a plan to restructure the department of Public Safety and re-naming the department the Office of Public Safety and Health. Why the change?
- If the weather allows on Wednesday, there’s an official kick-off to the month of May downtown. This is a big year for the Indy 500, what will security be like?
