One in critical condition following crash on city’s south side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – One person is in critical condition following a crash on the city’s south side.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said a silver Ford Explorer was traveling south on Madison Avenue when the vehicle slammed into the median.

According to IMPD, this caused the SUV to roll a number of times, eventually landing on two parked vehicles.

The incident happened in the 3200 block of Madison Avenue around midnight.

Police said two females were in a Jeep that the SUV landed on.  No one was in the other parked car at the time.

The male driver of the Ford Explorer was taken to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition.

Of the two females in the Jeep, one was transported to the hospital in good condition, the other was not taken to the hospital.

The incident remains under investigation.
