Shots fired at gas station clerk during robbery

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Police are looking for two suspects after a clerk was shot at during a robbery.

Police were called a little before midnight on Sunday to a BP gas station on Brookville Road at South Post Road.

The clerk said two people, one he believed was a man and possibly a woman, immediately started shooting  at him as he stood behind the bulletproof window.

The clerk locked the security door that leads to the area behind the window and cash register. The robbers demanded the money from the cash register and he gave them all of the money, he estimates about $800 was taken.

According to police, the bullets didn’t penetrate the window and the clerk wasn’t hurt.

The suspects ran from the gas station before police arrived.

Police have not released suspect information yet.
