Watch: Crazy Colorado tornado touches down

DENVER (AP) – A large storm that brought a series of tornadoes to eastern Colorado has dumped up to a foot of snow in Wyoming and is bringing severe weather to the Great Plains as it pushes east.

National Weather Service forecaster Timothy Trudel said Sunday a foot of snow had fallen on mountain ranges about 40 miles west of Laramie.

Meteorologist Jeremy Martin says the low-pressure system is slowly moving into the Plains. Sunday night, tornadoes were reported in rural areas of Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska. There were no immediate reports injuries or damage, apart from downed power lines.

A day earlier, the tornadoes in eastern Colorado caused several minor injuries and damaged motor homes and buildings.
