West Lafayette man arrested after threatening girlfriend with gun

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – A West Lafayette man was arrested after police say he threatened his girlfriend with a gun.

On Saturday night, Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s deputies and West Lafayette police were called to a residence in US 52 Mobile Home Estates after a report of a man with a gun who had threatened his girlfriend.

Police found a shotgun that had reportedly been dropped outside by the suspect, 28-year-old Mark Christopher Eagon.

At the time, officers could not locate Eagon in the mobile home park.

Eagon was later found a little after 4 a.m. Sunday at his brother’s home in the 5600 block of East 200 North.

He was arrested and taken to Tippecanoe County Jail.

Eagon has been preliminary charged with felony counts of with confinement with a deadly weapon and intimidation with a deadly weapon.
