Hamilton Southeastern schools hiring after voters pass referendum

FISHERS, Ind (WISH) – Hamilton Southeastern School District leaders are getting a hiring jump start after voters gave the green light for new funding.

Crews were working to transform the Hamilton Southeastern High School cafeteria into a job fair Tuesday.

The event was scheduled before the election. But after voters passed a referendum, it allowed HSE leaders to offer even more jobs.

“As soon as the vote passed we had been in some plans to talk about how we would kick off our strategy, and the first thing that we wanted to do, and that’s on the slate to do, is begin to hire the 43 new teachers that we promised the community we would do,” HSE School District Community Director Beverly Redmond said.

The job fair runs until 8 p.m. Tuesday. If you’re not able to make it, click here to learn more about the open positions.
