Bars in NY can’t refuse alcohol to pregnant women

NEW YORK, NY (WISH) – New York recently passed new guidelines aimed at ending discrimination of pregnant women.

Pregnancy is no longer a reason bars and restaurants cannot serve a pregnant woman alcohol or raw seafood.

The new rules allow a woman to determine what’s good for her and her baby. The rules apply to the workplace and out in public.

The guidelines were created by the New York City Human Rights Commission.
