Brown County woman arrested after leading police on chase

BROWN COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – Police say a Brown County woman was arrested after she led police on an hour chase.

According to 24-Hour News 8’s partner, Brown County Democrat, Lona Albertson, 47, was arrested early Tuesday morning on an outstanding warrant and charges of resisting law enforcement and criminal recklessness.

Police said the chase started around midnight on Interstate 65 near Whiteland, then continued through Edinburgh, the Peoga area and then back into Johnson County. Police said they used stop sticks to deflate the vehicles tires. The vehicle went off the road and the chase ended on County Road 250 West.

A sheriff said a Johnson County sheriff’s vehicle was damaged during the chase.

Albertson was held without bond at the Johnson County jail.
