Whitestown Town Hall helping kittens find a home
WHITESTOWN, Ind. (WISH) — Boone County’s humane society may not have a building yet, but that’s not stopping it from finding forever homes for animals in need.
In response to a rise in kittens up for adoption, the Whitestown Town Hall lobby has transformed into a small display for cats in need of families.
It started last week with three kittens. Within three days, they had all been adopted.
Starting Thursday, a new batch arrives.
Whitestown officials say the building is used for a variety of community needs.
The Boone County Humane Society is fundraising to build a shelter. Even without a building, it has 37 cats and kittens who need a home.
If you’re interested in checking out the kittens, the Whitestown Town Hall is open 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
