IndyHumane creates new mobile adoption unit

Convenient, mobile and bringing a furry friend to YOU! That’s the mission of IndyHumane’s new mobile adoption unit: The IndyHumane Pet Adoption Wagon (The P.A.W. The P.A.W. is a fully-contained, mobile adoption unit designed to bring pets to neighborhoods and facilitate convenient adoptions. The 26-foot kennel on wheels is outfitted with 24 animal corrals, a meet and greet/counseling suite, and all the amenities needed to facilitate adoptions. The unit is an incredible opportunity for IndyHumane to expand adoption services while also increasing community engagement.

Jeremy VanAndel, Chief Development Officer of IndyHumane, says the new program will help open even more doors to pets in need by getting dogs and cats out of the shelter and into the community. Have a non-stop lifestyle? Kensington is the dog for you! He constantly wants something to do, and he loves games and toys. Kensington is active, and he would love to go on walks and hikes. He could also really benefit from all positive training classes. If you have children or dog friends in the home, staff would be happy to set up an introduction to make sure all get along well. He is 6 years 4 months old and weighs about 47 pounds. A generous donor paid his adoption fee so he can find a home as soon as possible.
