K9 stops drug toting suspect
WORTHINGTON, Ind. (WISH) – A man was arrested after a traffic stop Thursday morning.
Indiana State Police officers, along with Loki, a Narcotics K9 stopped 35-year-old Eric Word.
Loki indicated there were drugs in the vehicle.
According to the release, police found numerous drug paraphernalia items, LSD, methamphetamine and items indicating the distribution of narcotics.
Word also had a loaded firearm in his possession during the stop.
He was arrested on the following preliminary charges:
- Dealing Methamphetamine while in Possession of a Firearm
- Possession of Methamphetamine while in Possession of a Firearm
- Possession of a Controlled Substance while in Possession of a Firearm
- Possession of Marijuana
- Possession of Paraphernalia
