Humpback whales spotted in San Francisco Bay

SAN FRANCISCO, Ca. (WISH) – It was a spectacular view for some at San Francisco Bay’s Golden Gate Bridge Thursday.

Sightseers, boaters and drivers were able to see humpback whales.

Recently, the whales have reportedly been swimming into the bay in typically large numbers.

Experts said they think the humpbacks are attracted by the large numbers of anchovies swimming along the shoreline. Some Marine Biologists said they are concerned the whales could collide with boats or swamp them while breaching.CNN contributed to this report.
