Pet Pals: What to do when an animal is locked in a hot car

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – While many may be looking forward to the warm weather and hot temperatures that normally accompany summer, summer can be a dangerous time for pets.

A locked hot car in June, July or August can be brutal, even deadly for pets.

Patty Spitler talked to her guest, Superior Court Judge of Marion County Gary Miller, about what Indiana’s laws say about breaking windows to save pets locked in cars.

The host of Pet Pals TV and Judge Miller also discuss some of the things that can be done if an animal is suffering from being locked in a locked car.
