Multi-vehicle crash injures 3 in Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Three people suffered minor injuries in a five-vehicle crash in Fort Wayne on Monday.

Fort Wayne Police and medics were called around 9:30 a.m. to the intersection of State Boulevard and Reed Road on a report of a crash.

According to police, a gold Malibu was heading south on Reed Road when it ran a red light at the intersection of State Boulevard and struck two westbound vehicles. One of those vehicles, a white pickup, was flipped onto its top.

The impact of the crash sent the Malibu into the eastbound lane, where it was then hit by two other cars.

There was one person in each vehicle, police said. Two of them were not injured and three suffered minor injuries.

The intersection was closed for a short time while crews cleaned the wreckage.
