NASA’s hubble captures comet’s close Earth encounter

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Pictures of Earth’s closest encounter with a comet was captured by NASA’s hubble telescope.

A comet traveled within 3.3 million miles of Earth in late March, which is about 14 times the distance between Earth and the moon.

According to astronomers, the comet is flying away from Earth. In 2021 the comet is expected to travel through our solar system again, but it won’t come as close as it did this time.CNN contributed to this report.
