Lafayette man accused of child molesting

TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) – A Lafayette man was arrested under allegations of child molesting.

Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ryan Hilgert, 40, late Monday night after an investigation by the sheriff’s office and the Department of Child Services. The investigation began after DCS contacted the sheriff’s office about a complaint.

Hilgert faces a charge of one count of child molesting on a victim less than 14 years of age, which is a Level 1 felony.

No bond has been set at this time.
