TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – A Terre Haute man will spend four years on work release after authorities say he admitted to setting a house on fire.

Officials said Shane Turner admitted to setting a home in the 1400 block of North Avenue on fire a year ago.

He will follow his time on work release with two years formal probation.

Turner spent 54 days in jail and at least 68 days on work release prior to the sentencing hearing on Monday.
