Indians team up with Sun King Brewing
Play ball!! Today on Indy Style, we “hit a home run” in the kitchen with Jon Glesing, of the Indianapolis Indians, and Chef Steven Unrue, of Sun King Brewery! Together, we chat ballpark food, craft beer pairings and American Craft Beer Week!Victory Field food and recommended pairings with Sun King beer sold at the ballpark:
a. Bavarian Pretzel = Wee Mac
b. Shish-Ka-Dog (sausage) = Osiris
c. Foot-long Victory (Hot) Dog = Indians Lager
d. Caribbean Jerk Chicken & Pork Tenderloin = Sun King Cream Ale

Ingredients Directions
1 lb. Hamburger meat Melt Crisco, add onions and garlic. Meanwhile soak meat in beer, breaking up into very small pieces.
1 can Indians Lager When hot, add with half of the beer. Cook until done.
Mix together all spices.
1 large Onion(s), minced Add spices to meat and simmer for a couple of hours. You may need to add some liquid as it simmers.
3 cloves Garlic, mashed Griddle or grill hot dogs as desired.
4 tablespoons Chili powder Warm buns in oven or microwave (wrap damp paper towel around 4 bun sections, steam for 20-30 sec)
1 tablespoon Oregano Top assembled dogs with mustard, chili, and chopped onions.
1 tablespoon Salt
2 teaspoons Pepper
2 teaspoons Paprika
1 teaspoon Allspice
1 teaspoon Celery seed
1 teaspoon Cumin
½ teaspoon Cinnamon
16 quality hot dogs
16 hot dog buns
Mustard
Chopped onions (for garnish)
