Lego masterpieces come to life at Indy zoo

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indianapolis Zoo is building a new, educational experience for its visitors.

A new exhibit opening May 21 is full of animals entirely made from Lego. Twelve animals were created using more than 800,000 Lego bricks.

In the exhibit, guests will be able to learn connections between animal conservation and the community.

Each sculpture is nestled in plantings reflecting the species’ natural habitat. The biggest sculpture is a life size polar bear and her cubs.

Guests can play with Lego pieces after the exhibit and make their own creations.

The exhibit will be open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. starting May 21 and running through Labor Day.
