Fitbit announces acquisition of company, Time Warner changing name

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Fitbit has announced the company has acquired, Silicon Valley Startup Coin, a wearable payment business.

Fitbit says they will not release any products integrating of the company’s technology in 2016.

However, Fitbit does intend to start implementing and accelerating the company’s ability to offer pay-by-wrist features.

Also, Time Warner is changing their name.

The cable company will now be known as Charter Communications.

The change in name comes after Charter bought both Time Warner and Brighthouse Networks.
