Prosecutors: Men had other human trafficking victims

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Prosecutors say two men accused of human trafficking by Lafayette police had other victims.

Elyvin Jackson and Cornelius Thompson were arrested Monday.

Prosecutors said the initial victim met them in February of this year. She turned 18 a month later.

In court papers filed Wednesday, prosecutors said the girl paid a percentage of money she made on “calls” to Jackson or Thompson, and she was completely dependent on them for transportation.

Prosecutors said the girl’s “calls” took place in hotel rooms.

The victim told investigators that “other girls” also work for Thompson, and they also pay a percentage of money to him.

Jackson and Thompson are being held on preliminary charges of Human Trafficking.

Prosecutors have 72 hours to file formal charges against them.
