Many gather to celebrate Indy 500 at ‘Breakfast at the Brickyard’

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – More than 80 Indiana mayors, business leaders and race fans gathered to celebrate the Indianapolis 500 Saturday morning.

At the early morning gathering of race car enthusiasts, Bob Jenkins was honored.

Jenkins, whose broadcast career has taken him from radio to TV to the public address system at the IMS, was awarded a Mini Marathon metal by two-time Indy 500 winner, Arie Luyendyk.

Also, at the breakfast, the 2016 500 Festival Queen was crowned.

Caitlyin Foye of Newburgh received the honor.
