How to get the most out of your devices at the track

Comcast in Indiana’s Director of Public Relations Mike Wilson shares the best solutions to use your mobile devices/tablets while at the 100th running of the Indy 500 on Sunday!

  • In order to get parked and situated well before race time, Hoosiers attending the Indy 500 need to get there early. We’ve got some ideas on how they can keep themselves busy by taking advantage of services already available to them.
  • Most TV providers offer their subscribers the ability to take their TV on the go. Check with your own provider to determine whether they have an app that lets you access live streaming and on demand shows and movies.
  • We’ve offered this feature for a few years now. It’s called TV Go, and our customers can watch about 100 different channels live as well as access thousands of on demand titles.
  • What’s new for our customers this year just in time for the Indy 500 is a service that lets them access their DVR content from anywhere on any IP-enabled device, such as a tablet or smartphone.
  • We understand that where and when people want to get caught up on their favorite shows varies from the past. Waiting around at IMS is a perfect time to binge watch a few episodes of your favorite show.
  • They can even download their DVR programs before they leave home to avoid any data charges or heavy network traffic from so many wireless devices trying to connect. We’ve all been in a crowded venue and have given up on accessing WiFi.
  • One of the main reasons people “cut the cord” isn’t because they don’t like watching TV. Rather, it’s because they don’t feel they’re getting value for their money. This new service is intended to give our customers more value for their money by letting them access their DVR recordings virtually anytime, anywhere.
  • If you already have cut the cord, consider purchasing or renting a movie you’ve been wanting to watch and downloading it to your device. Then, waiting around for the Indy 500 will go by as fast as the race itself.
