ISP: Driver dozes off, sideswipes semi on I-69

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) – Indiana State Police said the driver of an SUV fell asleep and sideswiped a tractor-trailer on I-69 early Thursday morning.

The incident was reported around 12:45 a.m. just south of the I-469 interchange near mile mark 295.

ISP said the minor crash resulted in the semi’s load being dumped onto the interstate.

The rolls of an unknown material were scattered along the right lane and shoulder in the southbound lanes.

No one was hurt.

Police blocked the right lane, but delays in the area were minimal in the early morning hours while crews cleaned up.

The driver of the SUV was cited for unsafe lane movement.
