INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A father and son are faces charges for the murder and robbery of a man in April.

43-year-old Ziad Abd and his son, 20-year-old Akram Abd, face identical charges of murder and robbery resulting in serious bodily injury.

Investigators believe the pair killed 62-year-old Mohamed Mahmoud on April 21. Mahmoud was found dead in a parking lot in the 2300 block of South Lynhurst Drive.

Mahmoud’s arms and ankles were bound with duct tape. A purple pillow case covered his head and was duct taped around his neck.

Court documents show that a statement from a concerned citizen, along with surveillance video from a school near where Mahmoud worked, tied the men to the crime. Police also said a pillow case was found at the men’s residence that matched the one on Mahmoud when his body was found.

Court documents also state that the men made several purchases following Mahmoud’s death, including a car and a house in Detroit.
