Information about IMS shuttle service, scooter rental

SPEEDWAY, Ind. (WISH) – The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is offering a shuttle service for this weekend’s race events.

IMS will offer a shuttle service from four locations at specific times. They also offer a scooter rental service at the Speedway.

The shuttle routes include:

PINK ROUTE:

The Free Enterprise System – Sodrel Truck Lines
Departing From: 1220 S. West, Indianapolis, IN 46225 (Downtown at the corner of West & Morris Streets)
Parking is available: $10 per car (cash only)

BLACK ROUTE: 

IUPUI Downtown Campus – Lot 73 & 92
Departing From: Corner of Michigan & California Streets, 46202 (Access to lot available off of Michigan Street)
Parking is available: $10 per car (cash only)

PURPLE ROUTE:

The Hampton Inn – Downtown
Departing From: 105 S. Meridian Street, Indianapolis, IN 46225 (Across from Circle Centre Mall and the Hard Rock Cafe)
Note: No on-site parking available

BLUE ROUTE:

Indianapolis International Airport
Departing from: Ground Transportation Lobby – Zone 1 (Purchase tickets inside at the Star of America Booth)
Parking is available: $10 per car, airport garage, 5th floor
Note: You must show your race and shuttle ticket stubs to cashier upon exit to get parking at this rate.

SHUTTLE START TIME:

Shuttle service will begin at 6 a.m. from all locations.

There will be non-stop shuttles out to the track until 12:30 p.m. There will also be shuttles for early returns.

Note: The Speedway drop-off and pick-up is located across from the main tunnel entrance in the main gate east parking lot at 16th and Polco Streets.

SHUTTLE END TIME:

The shuttle service will run for two hours after the the race to take people back to each of the locations.

TIP: Look for your route color boarding lane.

  • 1-Way or Round Trip are the same price
  • Tickets are Non-Refundable
  • Air conditioned transit shuttles will be used
  • Handicapped accessible vehicles available
