Police: Man tries to run over players during Oregon cornhole tournament

TIGARD, Ore. (KOIN) – A cornhole tournament at an Oregon bar was interrupted Saturday by a reckless driver.

According to Tigard police, a group was playing the game in the parking lot of JB O’Brien’s Pub on Durham Road when a man drove his pickup past the cones and over a couple of the cornhole platforms.

Witnesses tell KOIN 6 News no one was hurt but a few people had to jump out of the way.

Police say the 41-year-old man is a tenant in the same complex as the bar and was upset over how much space the cornhole event was taking up.

The Sherwood man was arrested and charged with criminal mischief and reckless driving.
