Pole sitter Hinchcliffe talks before hitting the track

SPEEDWAY, Ind. (WISH) — The 2016 Indianapolis 500 pole sitter was cool, calm and collected before the 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500.

James Hinchcliffe joked with WISH-TV’s Derek Daly about Daly’s retro attire.

Hinchcliffe also appeared focused before hitting the track.

“This race is all about adapting,” Hinchcliffe said. “It’s all about thinking on your toes and I think the team that adapts the best, I think, is going to be the guys up front at the end.”
