Volunteers, fans mark 100th Indy 500 with ‘celebratory’ stickers

SPEEDWAY, Ind. (WISH) – When the 2016 Indianapolis 500 is over, there will have been 100 Indy 500 races.

Volunteers and fans at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway are marking the special occasion by “celebrating” the number of Indy 500 races they have attended.

Fans receive a sticker upon entry and then volunteers at IMS fill out the sticker with the number of Indy 500 races each person has experienced.

One volunteer has made it 29 Indianapolis 500 races, but one fan has been lucky enough to make it to 57 different Indianapolis 500s.
