Man barricades himself in garage after domestic disturbance

FLAT ROCK, Ind. (WISH) – A man was arrested after police received a call about a domestic on Tuesday morning.

Shelby County Sheriff Department responded to the 9000 block of South Geneva Main Street around 3:30 a.m.

According to the release, two people were battered, a 33-year-old female and a 9-year-old male.

Police found Jason Ramsey, 33, barricaded in a detached garage when they arrived.

A SWAT team and negotiators got the man to come out of the garage peacefully around 7 a.m.

Charges are pending and the investigation is ongoing.
