Police: Father ‘detains’ man accused of attempted child rape

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 22-year-old man was arrested for attempted child rape in Hendersonville after a father detained the man.

According to a release, Sebastian Alonzo was spending the night at the victim’s Maple Way South home when the alleged incident occurred.

Police said the child’s father allegedly caught Alzonzo as he was attempting to rape the child and detained him until police arrived.

Alonzo is charged with one count of attempted rape of a child.

He remains jailed on a $250,000 bond and is due in court June 22. Police said Alonzo has only been a resident of Hendersonville for three months.
