Bank robbery suspect found hiding in closet of trailer

MARION, Ind. (WISH) — Police believe they have captured a man that robbed a bank on Tuesday.

22-year-old Dustin Havens, Jr. of Marion has been arrested.

The Marion Police Department said that the Afena Credit Union at 424 North Bradner Avenue was robbed just after 3 p.m.

Employees at the credit union said the suspect demanded money and said “give me all you got,” while giving the appearance that he was concealing a weapon. The suspect received an undisclosed amount of money.

A witness caught the license plate number of the vehicle that the suspect left in.

That vehicle was later located behind a residence in the 1000 block of West 4th Street. A search warrant turned up currency and clothing from the credit union robbery, but not a suspect. The investigation continued and led investigators to 2801 South Stone Road. Havens was found hiding in a closet inside of the trailer, according to police.

He faces preliminary charges of armed robbery.
