INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indianapolis Public Transportation Corporation is offering free rides on all routes from Sunday, June 26 through Monday, July 4.

IndyGo is offering free rides to help riders adjust to the Julia M. Transit Center opening and route changes.

“Service changes across the city go into effect on Sunday, June 26 to coincide with the opening of the Transit Center. Offering free rides for the first week of these changes is a great way to help regular riders adjust and encourage new users to hop on and try out transit,” stated IndyGo President and CEO, Mike Terry.

The Transit Center is on the corner of Washington Street and Delaware Street across from the City County Building plaza.

The amenities at the Transit Center include:

  • 19 covered bus bays with Real Time bus information
  • Public restrooms
  • Indoor waiting area
  • Customer service
  • Pass sales
  • Free wifi internet

All 31 IndyGo bus routes will be impacted when the Transit Center opens.

IndyGo has created a June route change to its website to help riders navigate how the Transit Center opening and route changes will impact their commute.
